Further Autism Pesticide Link

Study further confirms link between autism and pesticide exposure:

There have been a number of studies showing a possible association between autism and pesticide exposure in pregnant mothers. This new study further confirms a link between autism and pesticide exposure by showing that pregnant women who live within a mile of farms and fields where pesticides are used see their risk of having a child with autism increase by 60% — and that risk actually increases to more than double if the exposure occurs in the third trimester, and even triple depending on certain pesticide chemicals.There was also a prior study showing a link between increased intake of fresh fruits and vegetables (non-organic) during pregnancy and increased risk of a child with autism. Based on the increasing evidence it seems that pregnant women should avoid excess contact with agricultural pesticides.
